Job description
Under the immediate supervision of the Medical Imaging Supervisor the Radiology Technologist, is responsible for conducting routine X-Ray/CT procedures and ensuring all Physician and customer needs are met through clinical and administrative tasks. Perform X-Rays: · Operates all fixed and Portable Radiographic Equipment · Performs all Trauma Protocols · Able to assess plan and provide individualized care for patients taking into account the mental status development and physical needs of each patient based on age · Performs all Fluoro produres · Performs all OR Procedures CT: · Performs CT scan procedures per CT Procedure Manual / Recognizes emergency situations, initiates code procedures, and administers first aid/CPR · Assist patients on and off the table · Prepares and calculates appropriate dosage and/or administers contrast media ie orally, IV, rectally · Starts Intravenous lines and administers IV Contrast · Assists the Radiologist in biopsies, abscess drainages and other procedure · Performs daily safety warmup and quality control check on CT equipment PACS: · Ensures all computed and digital images are properly archived on Synapse · Scan Documents in a timely manner · Troub...
