Description Answers switchboard in a courteous manner. Routes calls to appropriate department/individual MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Minimum of High School Diploma required MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Previous experience as a switchboard operator in large call volume setting preferred. LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED: N/A: SUPERVISES: N/A: KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED: Must possess excellent communication and computer skills PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS: Physical/Mental Requirements: Ability to sit/stand for long periods Ability to visually and audibly perform all essential functions for timely responsiveness. Precise hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity required. Ability to make frequent judgments and respond to routine problems. Must be able to deal with a variety of personalities with whom the employee comes into contact, both pleasant and irate.
