Job description

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is responsible for providing direct care to the residents and providing supervision of the day-to-day activities of the nursing assistant staff in accordance with current federal and state standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the Assisted Living including Plymouth Harbor policies and procedures. Shift: Overnights 7p-7a DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Ensure that documentation of residents’ daily medical record is accurate, comprehensive and timely. 2. Receive, document, and implement physicians’ orders in an accurate and timely manner. 3. Coordinate admit and discharge of residents to and from the ALF. 4. Ensure timely response to resident requests/call lights. 5. Ensure the proper recording and accurate count of schedule drugs at all times. 6. Ensure security of locked ALF areas; monitor that only authorized staff is in possession of ALF keys. 7. Ensure accurate and comprehensive reporting of resident condition via shift to shift reporting. 8.
