Job Description Role: Senior SQL Database Administrator: Work location: Phoenix, AZ; Columbus, OH; Dallas, TX Job Type: Contract: Interview: Phone/Skype: Role Summary: We are looking for a Senior SQL Database Administrator with 10+ years of experience to manage, optimize, and support enterprise database platforms. This is a hands‑on individual contributor role, focused primarily on Azure SQL environments, with some exposure to AWS databases. Required Skills & Experience: 10+ years in IT, with 8+ years as a SQL DBA Experience supporting enterprise, production‑scale databases: Technical Skills: Strong experience with Azure SQL Database, SQL Managed Instance, SQL Server Working knowledge of AWS RDS (SQL Server/Aurora) HA/DR (Always On, Failover Groups), backup & recovery Performance tuning and capacity planning: Database security and compliance: Nice to Have: Azure or SQL Server certifications: Experience in regulated or large enterprise environments Key Responsibilities: Administer and support Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and SQL Server on Azure VMs Support AWS databases such as RDS (SQL Server/Aurora) in hybrid environments Ensure high availability, disaster recov...
