Packaging Design Intern

Job description

As a full time Design intern, you will collaborate with experienced designers, sales teams, and production staff to support the development of packaging concepts from the initial idea through final production. This position provides valuable exposure to real-world design challenges, including sustainability considerations, structural integrity, branding and client specific requirements Key Responsibilities: - Assist in designing corrugated packaging using CAD and packaging design software - Create and modify box styles, inserts, and protective packaging solutions - Support prototype development, sampling, and performance testing - Prepare basic drawings, specifications, and bill of materials - Collaborate with design, production, and sales teams on customer projects - Help evaluate material usage, cost efficiency, and sustainability opportunities - Maintain design files and documentation - Learn and follow corrugated industry standards (FEFCO, RSC, die-cut styles, etc.) EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED.
