Internal Auditor Platte Valley Companies JOB SUMMARY: The Internal Auditor is responsible for assisting in the establishment, development, and evaluation of a company’s internal controls over financial reporting, compliance, and business operations. Develops and maintains risk and control matrices and narratives. Develops and performs testing based on matrices and narratives not only to provide assurance to executive management, but also to support external auditors’ workpapers. Responsible for performing routine daily tasks and participates in special department projects. RESPONSIBILITIES: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: a. Undertake internal audits to ensure the company meets its financial operational, and compliance objectives. b. Support the development of an assurance planning reporting process. c. Draft reports on control deficiencies and make recommendations to mitigate risk and add value. d. Obtain necessary supporting documentation to perform audits, including, but not limited to, policies and procedures, reports, sample selection documentation, and confirmations, and organize workpapers in accordance with procedure e.
