Key Job Responsibilities Include: Perform and oversee general ledger activities, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and inventory accounting of multiple business units. Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements Ensure timely and accurate financial close processes Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and period forecasts Support long‑term financial planning aligned with the co‑op’s strategic goals Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and filing requirements Maintain strong internal controls and financial policies Coordinate year‑end audits and liaise with external auditors Support risk management and fraud prevention initiatives Prepare financial information for management, board, and members Support patronage allocations, equity accounts, and member dividends (where applicable) Ensure transparency and accountability consistent with co‑operative values Supervise and develop accounting staff: Assign work, set priorities, and ensure deadlines are met Foster a collaborative, service‑oriented team culture Support onboarding, training, and knowledge transfer within the team Identify opportunities for effi...
