Description: Westside Recreation Centre is a world-class facility based on a lifestyle and wellness concept. Since 2000, we have been providing families with high quality and accessible recreation facilities, programs and services. This is an entry level position to lifeguarding at Westside. This position is responsible for supervision and safety in the Aquatic Park by providing customer service and delivering high quality aquatic programs. Responsibilities: Administrative: - This position instructs swimming/aquatic programs to all organizational standards. - This position follows the direction of the Head Guard and is capable of providing first aid treatment when necessary. Customer Service & Communication: - Education about policies/procedures related to bather health & safety - Aware & use various forms of communication: whistles, hand signals, body language, written, phone, radio, etc. Safety Supervision: - Thorough scanning and supervision in assigned waterpark attendant positions - Work as a team to handle any public relation & education to prevent incidents - Respond quickly and as trained when required - Ability to recognize and safely adjust pool space being used while ins...
