Wildland Fire Captain – Insurance Division Wildland Fire Captain - Insurance Division, oversees activities including fire prevention and mitigation, pre fire assessment, and fire suppression. A Wildland Fire Captain in the insurance division reports to, and provides assistance to, a Battalion Chief. In the absence of a Battalion Chief, the Fire Captain shall report directly to the Capstone Insurance Division Chief. Responsibilities/Duties: - Wildland Fire Captain – Insurance Division, manages the day-to-day operation and maintenance of a fire station, or other site, and the apparatus and personnel assigned. - Travel is required for this position. - Conducts wildfire safety checks and pre-fire planning inspections. - Develop, direct and participate in drills and training programs. Provide information to the public, and participate in public relations events. - A Wildland Fire Captain may act in the capacity of Battalion Chief as needed. - Able to work any shift assigned, including nights, holidays and weekends.
