The Tax Accountant is responsible for supporting the company’s federal, state, and international income tax compliance and reporting processes. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate and timely tax filings, maintaining strong internal controls, and supporting the quarterly and annual tax provision process. In addition to core compliance responsibilities, the Tax Accountant participates in strategic tax planning initiatives, acquisition-related tax matters, and continuous process improvements. This role partners closely with Corporate Accounting, Finance, Legal, and business unit leaders, providing technical expertise and guidance while supporting audit and regulatory requirements. This position will work onsite from HNI's corporate headquarters in Muscatine, IA four days a week (M-Th) and remotely on Fridays.
