Job Summary: The PGY1 Pharmacy Resident will complete a 12-month training program designed to strengthen the Resident’s clinical, communication, and management skills in preparation for a continued career in hospital pharmacy, clinical pharmacy, or pharmacy management. Our focus is on transitioning Residents from students of pharmacy to experienced pharmacists who provide exceptional patient care in an ever-changing profession. Under the general direction and guidance of the Residency Program Director (RPD) and assigned residency program preceptors, the Resident will perform a variety of clinical pharmacist duties. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: - Provides direct patient care through disease state management, consultation with other health care providers and preceptors, and communication with patients. - Monitors, evaluates, and optimizes patient care. - Participates in required, elective, and longitudinal learning experiences under guidance from credentialed pharmacist preceptors and the RPD. - Satisfactorily meets goals and objectives associated with each learning experience. - Co...
