Custodian - Temporary 260003L6 Description This position is 2PM-10PM Monday-Friday Temporary up to six (6) months. Position Summary: The Custodian will be responsible for a range of cleaning and maintenance tasks within the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Office facilities. Supervision Received: Receives general direction and oversight from the Director of Facilities in performing duties in accordance with all best practices and established guidelines. Duties and Responsibilities: · Keeps the facility clean and orderly condition by performing assigned tasks or additional custodian duties as needed. · Ensures floor cleanliness through sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming; operates equipment for floor maintenance, including buffing and waxing. Additionally, performs deep cleaning of carpeted office areas. · Cleans the interiors and exteriors of windows, as well as walls and other interior surfaces of the buildings. · Reports irregular activities and advises supervisor of conditions requiring major maintenance or repair. · Empties waste receptacles and disposes of rubbish. · Dusts and polishes furniture. · Performs decontamination of cells and general areas as required. · Conducts periodic de...
