Occupational Summary: The Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach provides support and assistance with all aspects of the intercollegiate women’s soccer program. This position will instruct student athletes in the rules and fundamentals of soccer while also working to develop the whole student both in and out of the classroom. Work Performed: - Assist with the coaching and management of a competitive NCAA Division II soccer program, including scheduling and conducting regular practice sessions, developing line-ups and game strategies, etc. for both first team and reserve team. - Assist with the recruiting and retention of qualified NCAA Division II student-athletes for first team and reserve team. - Instruct student athletes in the areas of physical health, team concepts and safety, sometimes working with individual students on various game-day situations. - Work with the Athletic Performance Coaches to develop an effective program of physical conditioning designed to improve overall athletic performance and avoid injuries. - Encourage the development of psychological, social, and mental skills necessary for the student athletes to be successful in the classroom, on the field, and in future...
