Manager, Actuarial Support Analyst

Job description

Under limited supervision and with significant independent judgment, supervises and coordinates the activities of Actuarial Support Analysts by performing the following duties. In addition, provides administrative and technical support to actuarial staff. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Coordinates the actuarial support analyst function by: a. Supervising the technical support provided by actuarial support analysts to actuarial staff and product managers b. Overseeing the quantitative support in product development, financial analysis, management reporting, and other actuarial research c. Managing the revision of rates for assigned lines of business d. Overseeing the development of rate recommendations and presentations for assigned lines of business e. Supervising the preparation of filing memoranda for state insurance department approval. 2. Functions as a Supervisor of a business unit, either directly or through subordinate leaders, including but not limited to: a. Recommends and communicates goals.
