Description Job Summary: This is a program position that provides direct benefit to the children, parents, or providers. They provide quality meals and snacks as directed for all age groups at the site. The Chef will abide by, encourage, and train on all compliance and health/safety regulations while maintaining cleanliness, organization, timeliness, and attention to detail. In addition, the Chef will be responsible for Café and ala carte food services, food for special events as directed, as well as abide by allergy lists and special dietary needs of each child within the site. The Chef will assist in training and direct the Assistant Chef (if applicable) on CACFP compliance and kitchen responsibilities Summary of essential job functions: · Daily, and event, menu preparation and cooking/baking, including allergies and special diets · Follow recipes, child nutrition labels, and CACFP food service requirements · Oversee, direct, and provide guidance and learning opportunities to the Assistant Chef (if applicable) in all aspects of the CACFP and kitchen responsibilities · Record keeping of allergies and special dietary restrictions, menu changes, temperature logs, delivery invoices,...
