Let's introduce ourselves The purpose of the Customs Specialist is to work collaboratively within the Volvo Car Trade Management & Compliance team in the Americas region to facilitate compliant import and export activities, while working at a global level to support delivery on the global trade strategy. The Volvo Car Global Trade Management & Compliance strategy involves a shift in the way we do business to become a “best in class” trade management team. To be successful in this role, the person must demonstrate an ability to think creatively, deliver on innovative solutions and serve as a role model to the team to lead the way on our journey of change. Within the Process Excellence function, we have ownership of the import and export processes and the resulting outcome. This to include duty, operational costs, and compliance consequences.
