Maintenance Worker

Job description

Overview The maintenance workers are responsible for the specified and/or general upkeep of the Harbor Light Complex and its surrounding grounds (i.e. mini-park, parking lot). This position pays $16.00 /hr This position is 40 hrs per week. Responsibilities: - Notify the Facilities Manager and co-workers regarding any delays with work projects . - Floor maintenance – i.e. sweeping, mopping & buffing floors. - Flooring – i.e. installation of sub floor, VCT tile and cove base. - Facility garbage – removal and disposal of all trash. - Restrooms – cleaning/sanitizing urinals, toilets, sink and mirrors. - Replacement of light bulbs, lens, switches and wall plate covers. - Loading and unloading of deliveries and dumpsters. - Installation / removal of window air conditioning units. - Cleaning of roof and drains. - Snow shoveling/plowing, salting of all HLC facility sidewalks, driveways, entrances and parking lot. - Assist lead maintenance worker and co-workers with various assignments. - Thoroughly complete and return paperwork in a timely fashion. - Operate elevator as needed - Must be able to work overtime in case of an emergency or when deemed necessary. - Work in a laundry room with te...
