Job Summary: The Manger-Outpatient Clinic, in collaboration with Director, provides administrative, human resource and financial management for the hospital-based outpatient clinic. Ensures staff relate courteously, compassionately and tactfully with patients and families and emotional comfort and caring is conveyed to patients through verbal and nonverbal communication. Participates in strategic planning process and aligns service goals and objectives with the mission, vision and values of the organization. Supports and participates in research approved by the Internal Review Board (IRB) and facilitates patient participation in LLUMC trials. Ensures compliance with requirements of planning, regulatory, inspecting agencies, hospital and department policies. Mentors and coaches staff in transforming culture, processes and clinical practice that meets the demands of cutting-edge health care delivery and nursing excellence in the outpatient clinic environment. Supports and inspires professional governance groups to attain required nursing excellence standards to achieve Magnet Recognition as outlined by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
