Job description

Overview This part-time position facilitates Community Education and Recruitment programs designed by the research team to raise clinical research awareness and increase participation in Alzheimer’s Clinical Trials Consortium (ACTC) studies. Primarily works out in the community with the target populations. Works closely with the researchers, community advisory board and ministerial alliance to implement community education, outreach, engagement and study recruitment. Responsibilities: - Coordinate and facilitate community events such as health fairs and community forums, as a representative of the program. - Conduct community presentations and talks at local venues (i.e., senior centers, health fairs, civic events, and churches. - Assist with the development and dissemination of outreach/informational materials and media messages and other resources needed to conduct outreach efforts. - Convey the purposes and services of the Community Based Participatory Research program to the target population and the impact that this program would have to increase clinical research awareness and participation in ACTC studies among members of the Southeastern Virginia community. - Assist the res...
