Job description

Responsible for oversight and analytical research for development, maintenance, documentation, dissemination and training for Fiscal policies and procedures that are in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), the Commonwealth of Virginia Accounting Policies and Procedures (CAPP), state and federal regulations for the proper administration of fiscal accounting and reporting. To provide financial analysis and policy evaluation of federal and state statutes to determine the financial impact on transportation programs. Ensure sufficient internal controls are in place to accomplish goals and objectives. Follow-up on any outstanding issues in accordance with applicable state and VDOT policies and procedures. How you will contribute: - Communication, Collaboration, and Technical Writing: Facilitate consensus-building and collaborate with teams; work with Fiscal Compliance staff to enhance financial controls per ARMICS in processes.
