Job description

I. Job Summary The Incinerator Operator ensures the incinerators are operated in an efficient and compliant manner, that all waste containers are unloaded from vehicles, that vehicles are properly decontaminated, supplies and waste containers are properly staged for weighing, scanning and processing. Performs all duties in accordance with all applicable safety, environmental compliance and Stericycle policies and procedures. II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Ensure the incinerator waste feed rate and blending is performed properly to maintain correct incinerator temperatures and to maximize throughput. - Monitor incinerator and steam systems (where applicable), ash removal system, ash quality, and Air Pollution Control system parameters to include but not limited to: temperatures, pH, absorber flow rate, reagent feed rates, differential pressures and other system parameters to ensure safe, compliant and efficient operations are maintained.
