Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Bonding Mill Operator is key in assisting with meeting the department’s goals by performing machine set-up, maintaining quality standards, meeting daily production targets, and troubleshooting equipment when required. Responsibilities: The Bonding Mill Operator is responsible for coil handling which involves removing coils from skids, loading coals to the payoff, and measuring gauge and width of the material with measuring devices. Set up the designated Bonding Mill by interpreting process sheets, setting machine parameters, and using lubrication. Adjust and correct machine set-ups to reduce thicknesses, reshape products, and eliminate product defects. Examine, inspect, and measure raw materials and finished products to verify conformance to specifications. Read production orders, blueprints, and mill schedule to determine setup specifications, work sequences, product dimensions, and installation procedures.
