Work Arrangement This is an onsite position and may require up to 25% travel, within and outside the United States. Job Overview: The Aeromechanical Engineer 3 is responsible for the design, test, build, and improvement of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), unmanned surface vehicles (USVs), and their support equipment based on contractual or internal requirements. Essential Functions: - Use Solidworks to design and modify parts and assemblies. - Create 2D drawings of parts and assemblies complete with bill of material (BOM) for internal or external fabrication and assembly. - Perform aerodynamic analysis and calculations to inform the design and predict the behavior of aircraft. - Develop and analyze mechanical systems for aircraft, including engines, airframes, and avionics. - Conduct simulations, testing, and prototyping to validate designs and ensure they meet performance and safety requirements. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, software, and systems engineers, to integrate mechanical systems into larger aerospace systems. - Perform risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for potential mechanical failures. - Design and oversee the manufac...
