About Department 468 – Fleet Support and Systems Engineering Department 468 – Fleet Support and Systems Engineering provides systems engineering support for in-service VIRGINIA, OHIO, and SEAWOLF Class submarines under the Planning Yard OMNIBUS contract. The mission of the Department is to drive innovation, deliver high-quality technical solutions, and support the organization’s strategic goals through engineering excellence. We accomplish this by managing engineering changes and documentation updates including SHIPALTs, TEMPALTs, VIRs, LARs, RLARs, and MCRs, while ensuring ship configuration records remain accurate.
