PRN (As Needed) Shift: Days: General Summary: Assists other members of the surgical team in the delivery of direct and indirect patient care. Performs a variety of tasks such as, shaving and transporting patients, assisting with positioning of patient for procedure, care and handling of all equipment, assisting with the ordering, receiving, and stocking of supplies, performing clerical tasks and completing errands. The patient care encompasses all age groups (neonate to the elderly) focusing on the patient's care, treatment and rehabilitation. Essential Functions: - Performs a variety of tasks such as, shaving and transporting patients, assisting with positioning of patient for procedure, care and handling of all equipment, assisting with the ordering, receiving, and stocking of supplies, performing clerical tasks and completing errands. - Creates a safe, private environment for patient, family/significant other, visitors and members of the health care team. - Works in a collaborative manner in addressing patient care issues maintaining open communications with the charge nurse.
