Description 1 REPORTING RELATIONSHIP: Reports to the Manufacturing Engineer Technologist/Tooling Supervisor. 2 PURPOSE: 2.1 Function 2.1.1 To produce spare or new tooling for production equipment from drawing, personal conceptualization, or otherwise 2.1.2 To assist in brainstorming improvement activities relating to equipment and/or tooling 2.1.3 To perform tooling related PM’s and make recommendations to supervisor for improvements / changes 2.1.4 To perform and act as a team to support the needs of the organization as determined 2.1.5 To complete and / or assign work orders in the MVP system for activities requested or completed 2.2 Authority 2.2.1 Do what is needed to repair machines in a timely fashion to support production 2.2.2 Request tooling and materials as needed for assigned projects 2.2.3 Adjust designs as needed to make improvements to reduce failure frequency, improve quality, or reduce costs. 3 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 3.1 Install, repair, fabricate, remove plant tooling, fixturing and gaging, and conduct preventative maintenance as required on machinery and tooling. 3.2 Produce and upkeep production gaging by direction from QE’s 3.3 Contact vendors to locate an...
