The Utility Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting transportation projects by serving as a technical expert and central point of coordination between the Department, utility companies, property owners, and other agencies. Working in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment, this position oversees utility adjustments, relocations, permits, reimbursements, and compliance with state and federal requirements while reviewing plans, agreements, cost estimates, and documentation for accuracy and completeness. The Utility Coordinator monitors utility installations and relocations, develops and maintains utility schedules, researches and resolves complex issues, recommends process improvements, and provides guidance and training to staff.
