The Role The Legal Department is seeking to add a Commercial Lawyer to its current team of four. Pason’s Legal team manages all legal matters for Pason and its Canadian and international subsidiaries, from commercial contracts, mergers and acquisitions, and joint ventures, to regulatory compliance, employment law, litigation, intellectual property protection and policy development. The legal team provides legal support to all business units throughout the organization, as well as Pason’s Board of Directors and Senior Leadership Team. We are business minded, collaborative, and accurately deliver the legal support internal stakeholders need do their jobs effectively with minimal risk to the organization. This position will report to the Vice President, Legal & Corporate Secretary. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Review, draft, and negotiate clear and concise commercial contracts and other legal documents, including customer and supplier agreements, non-disclosure agreements, real estate leases, joint venture agreements, and licensing, development, and distribution agreements with an IP focus - Support and collaborate with business units on all legal aspects of Pason’s busine...
