IOP Phlebotomist

Job description

LabCorp is seeking a phlebotomist to work in Meridian MS . Work Schedule: Monday-Wednesday 8:00am-5:00pm, Thursday 8:00am-8:00pm, Fridays 8:00am-5:00pm with a 1-hour lunch and Saturdays 8:00am-12:00pm Job Responsibilities: - Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups - Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc. - Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner - Process billing information and collecting payments when required - Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis - Maintain patient and specimen information logs - Provide superior customer service to all patients - Administrative and clerical duties as necessary - Travel to additional sites when needed Minimum Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - 1 year experience as a phlebotomist Preferred Qualifications: - Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency - Experience with geriatric and pediatric patients Additional Job Standards: At LabCorp we have a passion for helping people live happy and healthy lives.
