Job Description Summary Manage the buying process for a given set of goods. Apply sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets. Impacts quality of own work and the work of others on the team. Focused on execution of standard enabling activities/provision of advice subject to policy and work routines within an enabling discipline. There may be some latitude to rearrange the sequence to complete task/duties based on changing situations. Job Description: Essential Responsibilities: Within the Avio Aero’s Supply Chain team, the Casting buyer will: Manage the sourcing process, from evaluation of requestor’s requirements to PO placement for a specific set of Goods Manage vendor tooling, including spending authorizations, refurbishment and replacement needs, monitoring plans for the construction of new tooling, and the status of existing tooling for a specific set of Goods Understand the Castings Commodity needs based on Commodity Strategy in collaboration with Strategic Sourcing team and Casting Technical Expert Support the strategy definition and execution for the specific set of goods within the Casting Commodity, including de-riskin...
