San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance is an international, nonprofit conservation organization with two front doors: the San Diego Zoo and the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. We integrate wildlife health and care, science, and education to develop sustainable conservation solutions. HOW YOU WILL IMPACT OUR MISSION: The Buildings and Grounds Attendant's primary purpose is to ensure cleanliness of guest and team member areas, and sorting and diversion of waste streams, to maximize re-use and recycling. The position sustainably cleans, maintains and sanitizes grounds, stands, patios, lobbies, restrooms, offices, lockers and tour vehicles. This position reports to the Buildings and Grounds Lead, Supervisor or Manager. WHAT YOU WILL DO: - Communication and Collaboration: Able to use radio to communicate issues, respond to calls and assist other team members. - Demonstrates commitment to and care of environment, through pulling and relining trash, recycling, and compost receptacles, collecting food trays, sorting waste steams, cleaning glass and mirrors, wiping tables and chairs, polishing and organizing workstations. - Demonstrates care and attention to detail in the cleaning and disinfection of t...
