Description JOB SUMMARY: Within the context of a client and family-centred recovery model and in accordance with established vision and values of the organization, works as a member of an interdisciplinary tertiary mental health team to provide comprehensive psychosocial rehabilitation services within a recovery framework. A primary goal of the tertiary mental health program is to successfully support individuals in returning to the community through increasing functional skills and abilities, reducing the positive and negative symptoms of psychiatric illness, increasing coping strategies to mitigate treatment resistant psychiatric symptoms, minimizing challenging behaviours, increasing social interconnections and improving physical health and wellness.Reporting to the Program Coordinator and under the daily direction of the Registered Nurse and/or Registered Psychiatric Nurse, the Mental Health Rehabilitation Worker provides support to the recovery of individuals living with severe and persistent mental illnesses who require resources beyond the scope of secondary mental health services due to the intensity, complexity or intractability of their symptoms.
