APPOINTMENTS FROM THE PART-TIME POOL ARE TEMPORARY AND OFTEN MADE JUST PRIOR TO THE START OF THE ACADEMIC TERM, APPLICANTS MUST BE AVAILABLE ON VERY SHORT NOTICE. THEATRE AND DANCE - PART-TIME LECTURER POOL, THEATRE PROGRAM. The Theatre and Dance Department, California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, California invites applications for a pool of part-time lecturers in Theatre. Positions are available as determined by need and funding during Fall and/or Spring semesters of the 2026 - 2027 academic year, which begins August 17, 2026. Teaching assignments are contingent upon budget and enrollments. Assignments may include teaching courses such as: Introduction to Theatre, Theatre History, Improvised Narratives, American Theatre and/or Topics in Diversity on the American Stage, World Drama, Rehearsal and Performance, Music Direction and Vocal Coaching, Stage Management, Production Management, Sound Design and Engineering, and Technologies in Design and Technical Production.
