Downer’s Rail & Transit Systems (RTS) business has a strong national portfolio of projects currently in delivery. RTS leverages Downer’s in-house capabilities to deliver integrated solutions across rollingstock, infrastructure, rail systems, operations and maintenance, and system integration. We are currently seeking an experienced Painter to join our team on a full‑time permanent basis at our Maryborough, Queensland site, supporting key rollingstock projects. About the role: In this hands‑on role, you will be responsible for delivering high‑quality painting and coating works while maintaining Downer’s strong safety and quality standards. Key responsibilities include: - Spray painting of rollingstock components and assemblies - Application of protective coatings using conventional spray, airless spray, brush and roller - Surface preparation, mixing processes and paint application - Use of 2‑pack paints, epoxy coatings, body filler work, fiberglass and masking - Reading and interpreting drawings, work instructions and specifications - Safe storage and handling of solvents, chemicals and paints - Applying quality systems and verifying work against compliance standards - Working effec...
