Job Title: Uniformed Security Guard Department: LOSS PREVENTION DIVISION: Direct Supervisor: STORE DIRECTOR/LOSS PREVENTION MANAGER FLSA Status: Non-Exempt: Starting rate of pay: $18.25/hr: Job Summary: A Times Super Market uniform guard is to be alert to suspicious activity and safety issues on company property. You will present yourself in a professional manner acknowledging customers entering and leaving the store. The Security officer will also be required to travel to various stores to perform the above security functions. Essential Job Duties: - Customer Service - Maintain an alert and highly visible position at or near the main entrance in an effort to deter shoplifters, robberies, and other security problems. - Present yourself in a professional manner, acknowledging (greeting and thanking) customers entering and leaving the store. - Periodically walk outside the front entrance and visually survey the parking lot suspicious individuals, vehicles or activity. - Patrols the sales floor, especially in areas identified as potential targets of shoplifters. - Be aware of anyone entering the store with large bags, backpacks, etc. - Will be responsible for checking all boxes that l...
