SALARY: $70,993.50 - $88,741.88 JOB SUMMARY: Under general direction, monitor and evaluate the financial impact of economic development activities; liaison with Tarrant Appraisal District and Tarrant County Tax Office; monitor and evaluate TIRZ, PIDS, abatements, Chapter 380s, etc.; calculate effective and rollback tax rate; and assist in special projects related to financial matters. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Ability to assist in Financial and Management Resources Department's economic development functions. Ability to collect tax revenue, tax increment financing (TIF) revenues, and payments - in lieu of taxes and coordinate the collection of unpaid tax revenues with the City Attorney's Office including litigation. Ability to oversee the property collection contract and delinquent tax attorney contract, prepare City's effective tax rate calculation, accounting and reconciliation of property tax accounts. OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS: Liaison with TAD and Tarrant County. Ability to perform financial analysis of special projects assigned by the Treasurer or the Chief Financial Officer.
