JOB TITLE: FUEL TAX MANAGER: COMPANY: Circle K Shared Services DEPARTMENT: Tax REPORTS TO: Senior Tax Manager/Director FLSA STATUS: Exempt POSITION SUMMARY: Manage and provide leadership and support to the onshore and offshore fuel tax team members in the calculation, filing and payment of the monthly fuel tax returns. Manage entire fuel tax compliance function to result in timely filing as well as engage in journal entry calculations/filing, General Ledger reconciliations and SOX narratives. Actively engage in fuel tax planning and process improvement. Manage the fuel tax audit function and conduct detailed research and analytical functions to solve fuel tax issues while working closely with the Fuel Accounting Dept to amend returns and remit any outstanding fuel tax amounts. Support and manage company goals by focusing on personal accountability, customer service, management, and leadership.
