Job Summary Position reports directly to the Clear Lake Technical Manager and provides technical assistance for Clear Lake Plant and Bayport 2EHA Unit operations. Position requires direct interaction with other departmental managers and staff positions to exchange information and ideas directly related to the success of the plants and the Acrylics business unit.Position has no direct reports nor a designated backup in the organization. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Production Data: Understands and optimizes site systems such as reaction, distillation, incineration, flares, utilities, tank farms, cooling towers, etc. to improve health, safety & environmental compliance, minimize operating cost, improve quality, and maximize yields. Leads other high priority Variable Cost, Repetitive Production Expense or Operational Asset Utilization improvement projects across site. People Data: Responsible for the training of Operations personnel and other staff in technical issues and new projects. Expected to attain Greenbelt Project Leader certification.
