Star Fleet Trucking, Inc. Summary: Schedules and coordinates shipments with owner operators by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Qualifications: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: - Communication with the factories, dealers and owner operators so a schedule can be set to ship homes. Enter units into the system that are ready for dispatch. Compiles list of available owner operators and available trips. - Assigns vehicles according to factors such as, length, purpose of trip, freight or passenger requirements and preference of user. - Issues keys, record sheets, and credentials to drivers. - Confers with owner operators to expedite or locate missing, misrouted, delayed or damaged merchandise. - Required to be available after normal business hours for phone calls, text message and emails that need addressed immediately. - Calling drivers when necessary to dispatch out loads, taking phone calls from drivers and answering their questions. - Print off dispatch, pulling packets and any permits needed for the trip.
