Position Overview: Altom Transport is seeking an experienced Chemical Tanker Driver Trainer to support the development of new and existing drivers. This is a part-time role focused on hands-on, real-world training—both in the truck and at customer locations. You will play a critical role in ensuring drivers meet Altom’s safety standards, understand proper tanker operations, and represent the company professionally in the field. Key Responsibilities: - Train and mentor new CDL drivers on safe tanker operations (chemical & petroleum) - Conduct ride-alongs and on-the-road evaluations - Instruct proper loading/unloading procedures, including pumps, hoses, and valves - Reinforce hazmat handling, spill response, and PPE protocols - Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, EPA, and customer-specific requirements - Evaluate driver readiness and provide clear pass/fail recommen...
