Job description

This is a cross functional first shift material handling position that includes shipping and receiving duties. Hours are 0600 to 1530 Monday through Friday. Position Responsibilities: - Inspect all in-coming materials for damage and ensure accompanied by appropriate paperwork. - Operate ESM Bar Code Scanner and related inventory activities. - Complete necessary paperwork in Ariba, Computron and MRP II system. - Delivery of ordered materials to production or other on-site buildings. - Prepare materials for shipment. - Deliver inter-office mail daily. - Monitor, compile, organize, log, and retain import documentation from material imports for the Charles City site in a timely manner. - Ensure that required information is available and accurate on documentation to be compliant with all regulation, ie FDA for importation. - Create and maintain required Stand Operating Procedures for proper control over the shipping, receiving and compliance process. - Strong communication skills required as the liaison among external and internal customers, brokers, and forwarders. - Works with shippers/sellers to assure correct and thorough documentation is provided at time of shipment, including pre-...
