Senior Transportation Planner/Engineer

Job description

LSA is seeking a Senior Transportation Planner/Engineer for its Mobility group. This individual will manage a staff of professionals who perform technical analyses in support of projects and/or manage projects for public and private sector clients. This position requires extensive knowledge of HCM using software such as Synchro, HCS, and Vistro. Candidates should also demonstrate expertise with general design sources such as AASHTO, CaMUTCD, and the Caltrans Highway Design Manual. Typical responsibilities include personnel management, project management of traffic impact analyses for public and private development projects, operational analyses for roadway improvement projects, General Plan and Specific Plan circulation studies, and business development. Flexible workplace schedules may be arranged and allow for potential hybrid in-office/remote opportunities, subject to supervisor discretion. Requirements: Applicants for the position should have 7 to 10 years of direct experience. A Master’s or other advanced degree in transportation planning, traffic engineering, urban planning, or a related field is desirable.
