General Summary The CNC Machinist is responsible for producing machined parts by setting up and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine and maintaining equipment and supplies. This position maintains quality and safety standards and documentation of machining activities. This position will report to the Shop General Manager and have no direct supervisory responsibilities. Essential Job Functions: - Maintains a safe, secure and healthy environment by adhering to Company/Customer safety standards and practices and to legal regulations, alerting others regarding potential hazards or concern - Performs all duties as assigned and adheres to TEAM’s Core Values. - Plans machining activities by studying and interpreting work orders and engineering specifications. Requires interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T). - Edits programs at the mills and lathes by entering instructions, setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; - Formulates machining requirements using basic math calculations, geometry, and trigonometry. - Sets-up mills and lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings...
