Description Seasonal Opportunity!: Pay: $17.48/hour: The Saratoga Regional YMCA is hiring for Outdoor Recreation Staff and we are excited to have you join our team! This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Individuals will need to be able to provide a fun, personally challenging growth experience for all outdoor recreation participants. An Outdoor Recreation Instructor creates a safe, positive atmosphere that welcomes and respects all individuals promoting safety in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures. An Outdoor Recreation Instructor is part facilitator, mentor, teacher and technician. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Must provide excellent customer service, be friendly and attentive to all guests and campers - Must be physically, mentally, and emotionally present during events. - Must show competency in the technical skills associated with the Outdoor Recreation operation. - Must display leadership in debriefing and closure for each activity. - Must demonstrate confidence when speaking in front of groups.
