About Us Shooting Stars is a school-based education engagement program for Aboriginal girls and young women. Founded in 2015, Shooting Stars is the primary initiative of Glass Jar Australia, a not-for-profit organisation that comes under the wider umbrella of Netball WA. Now based within 22 schools across Western Australia and South Australia, Shooting Stars reaches over 1,200 girls and young women, building confidence, cultural identity, and positive connections through engagement activities, health and wellbeing sessions and enrichment programs. The team of staff, most of whom are Aboriginal women, walk alongside the Shooting Stars participants throughout their schooling journeys, while offering support, advocacy, and guidance to ensure they are empowered to make informed decisions and drive their own futures.
