POSITION SUMMARY: The role of the Speech Language Pathologist is to provide clinical, counselling and education services to referred adult patients presenting with communication and/or swallowing disorders. The Speech Language Pathologist works autonomously, but collaboratively with a broad range of other disciplines both internally and externally to SJHH. Prevention activities, research, training, education and organizational tasks associated with caseload management, and successful functionality of the Department of Speech-Language Pathology and the clinical program within SJHH are also included within this position. All clinical work is consistent with the standards established by the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO). QUALIFICATIONS: - Master's level degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university - Current registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO) - Must have completed the training for the Modified Barium Impairment Profile (MBSImP) - Membership with the Ontario Speech Language Pathology Association (OSLA) preferred - Assisted Devices Program Certification pref...
