Building Name: UVMMC - Medical Center - Main Campus Location Address: 111 Colchester Avenue, Burlington Vermont Regular: Department: Birthing Center: Full Time: Standard Hours: 36: Biweekly Scheduled Hours: 72: Shift: Variable: Primary Shift: Variable - Variable: Weekend Needs: As Scheduled: Salary Range: Min $21.84 Mid $26.82 Max $31.79 Recruiter: Jessica Stafford: JOB DESCRIPTION: The Labor & Delivery Assistant (LDA)/Unit Secretary (US) functions within the policies & procedure of the organization, and Birthing Center services, which encompasses the clinical, clerical & technical activities of assisting the unit with providing safe patient care & environment at all times. She/he will maintain a safe clean physical/clutter free environment. The LDA/US functions under the direct supervision on the Birthing Center L&D Registered Nurse. EDUCATION: High school graduate or equivalent EXPERIENCE: Previous patient care experience and medical terminology helpful. Please note that regardless of full-time, part-time, or per diem offer, all new hires and transfers into Labor & Delivery undergo a full-time 6-week orientation process.
