Control Systems Engineer

Job description

Requirements/Preferences: - Responsible for the design of the automation systems for lifting and handling products. - Assist in the development of new machines, tools and processes by specifying and designing control systems, including software knowledge of Rockwell, Siemens, GE Proficy and Beckhoff TwinCat 3. - Produce Equipment and System Documentation. - Review contractual and regulatory requirements. - Develop the design and functional specifications for the control systems. - Coordinate design processes and content with customers and internal resources. - Responsible for the interface between the hardware and the software development for the automation system. - Responsible for the equipment to function in the desired manner including operating sequence, proportional control, video displays and safety systems. - Knowledge of sensor technologies, control devices, motor driven control elements, types of motors, drive and/or motor characteristics, control signals, installation requirements, industry standard drawings, and HMI software products. - Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures. - Must be willing to travel.
