Job description

Provide pre-departure security screening of all persons and property intended to be carried into the sterile area or in the cabin of an aircraft by means of available screening equipment such as walk-thru metal detectors, x-ray machines and hand-held metal detectors and physical inspections to prevent hijacking or other criminal acts. The screening provides security for the aircraft, airports, air carriers and staff. QUALIFICATIONS: A. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 1. High School diploma or G.E.D. 2. Previous airline experience preferred. 3. Previous experience in security, military, public contact preferred. 4. Must be a U.S. citizen. 5. Must be 18 years of age or older. 6. Must have reliable transportation and telephone. B. PERSONAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 1. Treat all information as confidential. 2. Possess the tact to deal with all levels of situations, client representatives, employees and the public. 3. Must be able to lift, carry and/or hold up to 75 lbs. 4. Physical exam may be required to confirm the above. 5. Must be able to perceive each color used on a color x-ray monitor or metal detector visual alarm. 6.
