Job description
The Bolting General Foreman oversees all bolting‐related mechanical activities on industrial projects, ensuring the safe, efficient, and high‑quality execution of work. This position requires advanced mechanical and torque‑tool expertise, proven leadership abilities, and strict adherence to site safety policies. The General Foreman leads crews, plans work scopes, manages tools and materials, and ensures all bolting tasks meet project standards and regulatory requirements. Technical Responsibilities: - Inspect worksites and identify hazards prior to starting work. - Plan bolting and mechanical work sequences to eliminate interference with other crafts. - Determine proper materials, tools, torque/tension values, and equipment needed per job specifications. - Perform and oversee the installation, removal, testing, and maintenance of bolted connections on exchangers, pressure vessels, piping, and related components. - Conduct pressure tests using water or gas to identify leaks. Operate and train others on: - Hand torque wrenches - Hydraulic torque tools - Pneumatic rad guns - Hydraulic bolt tensioners - Torque pump controls and pendants - Perform flange management, stud tensioning, bol...
